    Personal trainer

Rich Froning has a very grueling workout routine in place to keep himself in the best possible shape for the CrossFit Games. Sometimes he trains several times in one day. He also hasn’t hired a personal trainer, instead relying on working with workout partners to get the most out of his workouts.

His workouts can sometimes stretch for 2 hours. He focuses on walking for big lifts but stays away from isolation moves. Rich also makes sure his workouts are done at a high pace and intensity. He has also set up a gym at his home so he can get in small workouts.

He’s not a fan of many of the diets popular with CrossFit athletes, such as the Paleolithic and Zone diets. In fact, he doesn’t have a fixed diet and prefers to listen to his body. During the day, he avoids overeating, reserving dinner for the largest meal of the day. Overall, he eats a lot of peanut butter and likes to drink whole milk.
